Rheinmetall Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence visit

In 2020 Rheinmetall opened the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland. Built from scratch in a record 20 months, the site’s opening heralded a new era of sovereign military design, development and local manufacture of military vehicles, systems and turrets for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and export to its allies. MILVEHCOE is an 11ha precinct incorporating a regional headquarters for Rheinmetall and a major manufacturing hub that is delivering vehicles to the Australian Defence Force including Boxer 8x8 Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles (CRV) under Australia’s billion project Land 400 Phase 2 and high mobility logistics trucks under the Land 121 Phase 3B/5B program.

Rheinmetall also manufactures Naval equipment including the Multi-Ammunition Soft-Kill System at Redbank, and with state of the art welding, armour, heavy grade repair, manufacturing and training, the company is delivering advanced capability to Defence Force, whilst expanding its industrial footprint in the Indo-Pacific region.
